Care and Usage
Care and Usage
- The maximum volumetric capacity for cooking is 3/4 of the pieces's total capacity.
- Position the utensil's handle inward toward the center of the stove.
- On stoves with grates, center the piece on the flame or heat source and align the handle with the grate.
- Hot utensils should be kept out of the reach of children.
- Before first use, wash with a soft sponge and mild soap or liquid detergent.
- After drying, grease the internal surface with oil or fat and heat it for one or two minutes. Allow to cool and wash again.
- Your Starflon utensil is now ready for use, with or without oil, and always on low or medium heat (never over 260 ¡C / 500 ¡F).
- Only use silicone, nylon, or wood utensils to stir food.
- The knob might come loose over time due to the normal expansion of materials.
- Retighten them just enough, without forcing.
- Cleaning: Avoid immersing hot utensils in cold water.
- Never use abrasive products when washing. In the case of burnt food, soak the area and set aside until the stuck residues can be removed with soap and a sponge.
- For product and packaging disposal, follow applicable recycling guidelines.
