Care and Usage
- The maximum capacity for cooking is 3/4 of the total volume of the item.
- Position the item's handle inward toward the center of the stove.
- If your stovetop has grates, center the item on the grates and align the handle with one of the grates.
- When using on smooth cooktops, lift the item to move it to prevent scratching your cooktop.
- Hot utensils must be kept out of the reach of children.
- This product may not be modified.
- Before first use, wash the item with a soft sponge and mild soap or dishwashing liquid.
- Dry with a soft cloth.
- After drying, grease the inside surface with cooking oil or butter, and heat for one or two minutes.
- Allow to cool and then wash again.
- Your item is now ready for use, with or without oil, and always on low or medium heat (never over 260¡C).
- Dry the items thoroughly with a soft cloth and store them in a dry, well-ventilated place, away from steam or dampness.
- Only use silicone, nylon or wood utensils to stir food in this item. Enameled iron is extremely resistant but it can be damaged if it is dropped or banged against a hard surface, therefore avoid dropping or hitting your items against hard surfaces, which can cause the enamel to come off.
- If this occurs, rust may form in the affected area, but it won't compromise the item's performance.
- To protect the damaged area, apply some cooking oil to that area with a paper towel.
- Cleaning: Prevent thermal shock by not soaking a hot item in cold water.
- Never use abrasive products to wash the item.
- If burnt food sticks to the item, soak the area in water and clean with a sponge and mild detergent.
- After cleaning, apply a thin layer of cooking oil around the rim of the item (pot and lid).
- To dispose of products and packaging, follow existing recycling guidelines.
